Real Madrid Club de Futbol (Spanish for Royal Madrid Football club) or commonly known as Real Madrid was found in 1902. Currently having won 31 La Liga titles, 17 Spanish "Copa del Rey" Cups, 2 UEFA Cups, 1, UEFA Supercup, 3 International Cups and a record 9 UEFA Champions Leagues; Real madrid is considered to be the most successful team in Spanish football or for that matter in the world. The clubs home stadium is Santiago Bernabeu named after the president of Real Madrid in 1945.
Legends like Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos, Raul, David Beckham etc, has once become part of the fairly wealthy club. Today the club comprises of mostly young superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo. Mesut Ozil, Angel Di Maria, Sami Khedira, and so on.
The club is coached by Jose Mourinho, one the most successful coaches of all time having won 2 champions league titles with F.C Porto and Inter milan along with 15 other titles. The 47 year old portugese has been nominated for the best coach of the year by FIFA to be announced on january 2011.
