what a match that was!!!
what seemed to be a walk in the park for real madrid during the first 20 minutes of the first half it proved to be not a piece of cake. Real Madrid started very well in the first half with world class football and dominated much of the first half creating atleast half a dozen chances. but could not make the most of it. In the closing moments of first half, di maria assisted the ball wonderfully to higuain who easily found the corner of the net. The scores at half time AC Milan 0, Real Madrid 1.
Things were different during the second half though. with two of our best players; pepe and iker casillas making the biggest blunders so far the scores were level again from a header by milan substitute inzaghi. 10 minutes into play cristiano ronaldo was fouled by abate, which was definitely a yellow card challenge but the referee said nothing doing. Later Milan increased their lead again from a goal by inzaghi who was offside which the officials ruled out. All i can say about todays match is that 'luck' which favoured us in the first leg was against us today. considering the amount of chances we created, we were bound to win. When things seemed to be out of hands, as always the mastermind, the magician of tactical football, jose mourinho made two important substitutions bringing on benzema in place of higuain, and pedro leon for pepe. The magics worked again as the equaliser goal came from P.Leon from a beautiful assist from benzema.
With this draw los merengues stays undefeated under mourinho's reign with 10 wins and 4 draws so far. Highlights of the match will be added soon...
